D. Edgar Inc. was established by David Edgar Jr. in 1999 in Brooklyn, NY. From an early age, Edgar had a passion for building and art. He received a BFA in painting & sculpture from Texas Christian University. He has taken this creative and aesthetic approach and applied it to construction, a business he has been in for over 35 years.
D. Edgar Inc. specializes in high-end residential and retail. The firm’s work has been widely published (including NY Times and Design Magazine) and has received awards from American Institute of Architects (AIA).
Edgar’s passion for art and associations in the art world have led to projects with artist and galleries. Notable projects include two Jose Parla commissions, “One: Union of the Senses” a 15’ high by 90’ wide piece for the World Trade Center and “Diary of Brooklyn” a 9’ high by 70’ wide piece for the Barclay’s Center. For which he was responsible for fabrication and installation.
